Dr. Dean McKay


Dean began as a semiconductor process engineer in 1962 in a joint venture between TI and Hunt Oil Company creating power control devices, then became a rocket scientist with the Saturn/Apollo program – and kept going. Refusing to rest on his previous successes, he has been an intelligence systems architect, business executive, college professor, entrepreneur, management guru and author. His career begin in the fab and proceeded to executive management and the boards in some iconic organizations including ITT, Fairchild Semiconductor, Teledyne, Allied Signal, Gencorp, Whittaker, and International Rectifier. 

Dr. McKay holds a Ph.D. in Executive Management from the Drucker School of Management, Claremont Graduate University, serves on numerous company and advisory boards as well as the Board of Visitors at the Drucker School of Management, Claremont Graduate University.

He lives in Tahoe City, CA with his wife Susan Mix and enjoys, skiing, fly fishing, hiking, and woodworking.


Walt Holland


Walt has extensive experience in mining with more than 3 decades of hands on mining and mine management. He recently retired from Newmont Mining.

Walt was instrumental in developing the Cirrus technology into a functional system for advancing mining engineering.

He is the owner and general manager of Battle Mountain Tire & Auto Service an independent owned and operated full-service company serving the region

Walt lives in Battle Mountain, Nevada with his wife Shirley. He is an avid outdoorsman., hunter, and fisherman who loves the Great Basin region.
